Terms of Service

1. About the service

traidhand (“the Service”) is a software-as-a-service platform operated by traidhand Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) that helps UK tradespeople manage enquiries, quotes, jobs, invoices, and customer relationships. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
  • One business per account. Additional businesses require separate accounts.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Pricing and payment

The Service is available in three tiers:

  • Starter - Free. Core features with usage limits.
  • Pro - £49 per month. Full feature access for established tradespeople.
  • Growth - £89 per month. Advanced features including AI automation and priority support.

Prices are in GBP and exclusive of VAT where applicable. We may change pricing with 30 days' written notice. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or harmful content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' accounts.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited communications to third parties.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent.

5. Your data

You retain ownership of all data you upload to the Service, including customer information, quotes, invoices, and correspondence. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

You grant us a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service, including AI-powered features. This licence terminates when you delete your account.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and consents to upload your customers' personal data to the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle personal data.

6. AI features

The Service includes AI-powered features such as lead pre-qualification, automated quote generation, and smart email classification. These features are provided as assistive tools and:

  • AI-generated content (quotes, replies, classifications) should be reviewed before sending to customers.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content.
  • You are responsible for all communications sent from your account, including AI-generated ones.
  • AI features may use third-party services (Anthropic, Google) to process your data.

7. Service availability

We aim to provide 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We will provide reasonable notice of planned downtime where possible.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • We are not liable for any loss of business, revenue, or data arising from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Termination

  • You may close your account at any time from the Settings page.
  • We may terminate your account with 30 days' notice, or immediately for serious breaches of these Terms.
  • On termination, you may export your data for 30 days. After that, we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
