traidhand is built as a progressive web app, which means you can install it on your iPhone just like a regular app. Adding it to your home screen gives you:
- Full-screen experience - traidhand runs without the Safari address bar, so you get more screen space and it feels like a native app.
- Push notifications - on iPhone, push notifications only work when traidhand is installed on your home screen. This is an Apple requirement, not a traidhand limitation.
- Faster access - tap the traidhand icon on your home screen to jump straight in, without opening Safari first.
Follow these steps to add traidhand to your home screen:
- Open Safari on your iPhone and go to traidhand.com.
- Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen. This is the square icon with an arrow pointing upwards.
- Scroll down the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
- You will see a preview of the app name and icon. Tap Add in the top-right corner.
That is it. You will now see the traidhand icon on your home screen, ready to use.
Once traidhand is installed on your home screen, open it from the new icon and go to Settings, then Notifications. You can enable push notifications for new enquiries, quote responses, invoice events, and more.
If you have not added traidhand to your home screen, push notifications will not work on iPhone. This is an Apple platform restriction that applies to all web apps.
If you are using an Android device, traidhand will show an install prompt automatically when you visit the site in Chrome. Tap Install when prompted, and traidhand will be added to your home screen with full app capabilities, including push notifications.
If the prompt does not appear, tap the three-dot menu in Chrome and select Add to Home Screen.
